  • They come in the room occasionally to make sure i am doing my work.

How involved do you think parents should be in their childrens online lives?

  • I think that as long as you go on appropriate sites, parents should let you do what you want when you are online. I don't think that parents should be that involved unless you are a very irresponsible child.
  • I think that they should monitor what they do, but not everything
maybe just the internet not there personal ichat account"
  • Stop when their kids is doing internet to much and not doing their work
  • They should monitor their children's history online, yet they should give the child some freedom and not guard their every action.
  • Parents should be involved but not to the point where it could interfere in their kid's personal lives
  • I think parents should be in their childrens online lives but should only be super protective after something bad happens.
  • I think that parents should just make sure that students do their work. when there is free time, i dont think they should regulate which sites i go to.
  • However the child acts if he/she good they should not bother him/her if he/she has done bad stuff on computor they should watch them
  • I think they should give kids enough freedom where they are safe, but not too much where the parents are always looking over your shoulder.
  • It really depends on whether the child is responsible. I mean when I got my first computer they checked sometimes and then they began to trust me more so they let me be on my own.

How do you feel about the school's policy about online use @ home?

  • I'm not sure about the school's policy
  • I think it is good, because it keeps kids from being cyber bullied and helping them be happy. It should not be so closely monitored where the school is too much involved with little things not concerning school.
  • I feel that the school's policy has every right to be followed because really the bullies that are on the social networking sites making fun of people should have no right to do that. Also, "cyber" bullies think that they are cool for doing that which is really odd.
  • It is appropriate.
  • they should not care - that's invasion of privacy
  • I don't think that the school should have any say about what you do on the computer at home. It's fine if it is at school but when you start limiting what a child can do at home it's not helpful. At home is when you can have freedom in what you do. The school shouldn't have the power to take away even that freedom.
  • I don't think its fair that the school can get involved in everyone's personal life at home because if you were to say something mean to a student it should not be the schools business to punish the person who caused the problem
  • I don't believe that it is fair that the school iterferes with what happens at home or i.m. they should only interfere if that child asks them to
  • I feel like its fair
  • I think that the school should not regulate what we do at home, because sometimes, people misinterpret messages
